A preserved and easily accessible natural environment awaits you in a land of lakes and hills. The Herisson steephead valley and the 7 lakes are classified ' Natural sites'. Further south, in the ' Petite Montagne', there is a Mediterranean influence on the climate and the flora is more vivacious. The richness and the variety of the ecosystem has led to this part of the country being put-formard as one of the biggest 'NATURA 2000' sites in France. |
