The Cascades du Hérisson are a sequence of 7 waterfalls over a 3-hour through this breathtakingly beautiful valley. The Hérisson Waterfalls have been classified under the Natural Sites Protection Act since 2002. Discover the map of the Waterfalls - Click here

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
- Appropriate outdoor footwear is required
- Stay on the marked trails
- Dogs must be kept on a lead
- Only accessible on foot, no cycling allowed
- In the classified natural site, no camping, open fires, swimming, or campervans are allowed
- The 'Maison des Cascades' has baby carrier backpacks on loan.

La Maison des Cascades

Below the spectacular waterfall of the Eventail you will find the museum "Maison des Cascades". For an educational and surprising overview of the valley, its waterfalls, history, geology and legends make sure that you pay us a visit.

Opening dates and times: April, May, June, and September
Daily from 11:00 to 18:00.
Closed on Thursdays except over school holidays and national holidays.
July and August: daily from 10:00 to 19:00.

Hiking/Rambling

There are 3 possible ways in which to see all of the Hérisson Waterfalls.

The 'classic' hike:
7.4 km there and back, Elevation +255 m - 3 hours to see all of the waterfalls.Click here to discover this

The Hikers' circuit:
11 km Elevation +250 m: From Ménétrux-en-Joux you join the 'Maison des Cascades' to begin your discovery of the 7 waterfalls of the Hérisson. The return trip takes you to the Belvédère de l'Éventail. For hardened trekkers: Click here

The 'comfort' walk:

Access

3 car parks are available to visit the 7 waterfalls of the 'Hérisson Waterfalls' circuit. At the top of the valley,Ilay (free) / Midway, Bonlieu (free) / At the bottom, direction Doucier, and the 'Maison des Cascades' car parks charges apply during: Weekends and national holiday + weekends from 1st of April to the 11th of June.- Daily from the 17th of June to the 10th of September, and the last 3 weekends in September (16-17, 23-24, and 30Sep 1Oct).

Maison des Cascades car Park rates:
Less than 1 hour: € 3.00
1 to 4 hours : € 5.00
More than 4 hours: € 7.00 The car park ticket gives you free entrance to the Maison des Cascades.

Bus rates 8.00€ unless the coach has been reserved for the Maison des Cascades

Motorcycle clothing lockers: € 2.00 (during opening hours).
